Music Genres – Smooth jazz and Latin Jazz

 

Over the years, Daniel’s unique style has been widely recognized by the critics, placing him in that rare class of musicians whose versatility transcends categories and spans multiple genres. Proven by the fact that Daniel’s music extends past regional and national boundaries with airplay on Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Latin Jazz, Adult Contemporary, Spanish and Mexican radio.

 

Daniel is a gifted, self-taught musician. Growing up in a rural area near Santa Fe, NM, Daniel developed a love for many musical genres listening to radio. As a teenager, he was a member of a gospel group, the Chordsmen, that toured throughout the southwestern United States.

 

In the 70’s Earl Klugh’s “Magic In Your Eyes” LP inspired Daniel’s love of Jazz. In the 80’s Daniel moved to Colorado and released two Latin Pop albums, “Amor” and “Vuelveme a Querer”.

 

In the mid 90’s Daniel formed a jazz band called Return to Zero, and in the late 90’s released his first Latin Jazz CD, “Night Groove”. The new millinium brought another Latin Jazz release, “Airborne”, followed by “Colorado Sunset,” a collection of Smooth Jazz and Latin Jazz tunes. In 2010, Daniel released a Smooth Jazz collection called “Can You Feel It?”,
